A world first in miniaturization with high light output: the lights from the PIN 5mm series!
In a new and complex manufacturing technique, high-performance LED chips are connected directly to an electrical cooling carrier and additionally glued. Thus, with a minimal chip area of only 3x3mm, an enormous light output can be generated and operated. The scope of delivery includes four different light caps, the two round 5mm caps correspond to the known light-emitting diodes, but up to 100 times the known brightness with a beam angle> 120 °. The cooling and mounting pin on the back is only 3mm in diameter and can be integrated very easily even in thin places in rudder or the thinnest tail units.
The 3W flashlight in x2 technology has an overwhelming peak power for this size, but may therefore only be operated in a flash or flashing pattern. Check the operating temperatures.

The design of the light includes an exposed LED chip which, as a ceramic carrier, is quite sensitive. We glue this in addition to stabilize it mechanically, but it is always necessary to handle the elements very carefully until they are firmly installed in the model.

The reference power is a comparison value between our offered lights. It normally refers to an operating voltage of 12V/3S Lipo and is dependent on bulbs, operating mode and technology.
The luminaire is ready to use for operation with 2S LiPo (ca. 8V). With 3S (12V), the enclosed resistor has to be added. Please note that high-performance LEDs can get very hot, up to 70°C is quite normal. These lamps with heatsink cases are suitable for continuous operation if an air flow (during flight) is possible. If this is not the case, the duty cycle of 5-10 minutes should not be exceeded. Pay always attention to the operating temperature, we do not assume any warranty in case of overheating.
Note: The LED lights are extremely bright! Never look directly into a LED!
