The Story

UniLight 5mm PIN Strobe Light, 3Wx2, Short - White PIN5X-030x2-WE

A world first in miniaturization with high light output: the lights from the PIN 5mm series!
 
Using an intricate production technique, high-performance LED chips are connected directly to an electrical cooling carrier and additionally glued. This way, with a minimal chip surface of only 3x3mm, an enormous light output can be generated and operated. The package includes four different light caps, the two round 5mm caps resembling traditional LEDs but providing up to 100 times the typical brightness with an emission angle of over 120°. The cooling and mounting pin on the back is only 3mm in diameter and can be integrated very easily even in narrowest places in rudders or the thinnest tail units. 
The position light with 3W in x2 technology delivers impressive performance for model aircraft despite its compact size, it can therefore only be operated in strobe or flash sequences. Always monitor the temperature during operation.

  • Cap 7mm cylindrical - can be glued to the model and used as an alternative cover
  • Cap 5mm profile-shaped - can be attached directly and used as a small position light
Assembly Instruction:

The design features an exposed LED chip, which acts as a ceramic carrier and can be quite delicate. We reinforce this by adding adhesive to stabilize it mechanically, but it is still crucial to handle the components with care until they are securely installed in the model.
